MGF Hood replacement

Picture right: replacement hood off car. Reasonably compact, but heavy! Difficult to man handle on one's own, but possible.

Tools Required:

Socket set

Time Required:

Approx. 30 minutes

Hood removal:

1) Remove T-bar as described else where.

2) Undo the three clips around the rear of the soft top.

3)  Identify the two retaining bolts on each side of the hood. Unbolt them them all. The hood is now free to remove.

4) Lift hood free.

Hood fitting is a "reversal of removal". If the hood is second hand, there should not be any further need for adjustment.
