SAFETY REQUIREMENTS

5.1 All vehicles must comply with the MSA safety requirements for sprint and hillclimb vehicles, as listed in the appropriate sections of the current MSA Year Book.

5.2 All vehicles must carry a securely fitted fire extinguisher (min. 1.5kg BCF or equivalent).

5.3 Basic rollbars/rollcages are mandatory for all open sports cars (Aero bars are included in this category) with the following exceptions: Pre-1955 MG cars & MGF

It is recommended that Pre-1955 MG cars, MGF, fixed head and GT sports cars and saloon cars also have rollbars or rollcages fitted.

5.4 It is recommended that all vehicles have a driver's harness fitted (minimum 3 point fixing).
