The Sprint and Hill climb series available for the MGF

The MG Car club offers two series for the MGF. Each series includes both sprints and hill climbs. In addition to these 'Speed' events, one offers competitors the opportunity to compete in a race series- the Abingdon Trophy.

1. The MG Car Club Speed Championship (MGCCSC)

The MG Car Club Speed championship is geared singularly at the speed events- namely Hill climbs and Spints. There are classes open to all models of MG- from the very earliest to the very latest- the MGF.

MGCCSC is divided into two series- the Northern and the Southern. Which you enter is determined upon the geographical location and your desire to travel. Each series costs £15 per annum to enroll- and you need to be a member of the MGCC.

For membership information, contact the series organiser, Jim Garvey.

Official web page can be found at http://www.mgcars.org.uk/misc/

2. The MG Car Club MG Challenge

The MGF Challenge is dedicated to motorsport with the MGF. It comprises primarily of the Race dicipline.

The Race series requires more preparation than the speed events- a competitive racing license and more safety equipment to be carried on the vehicle. For a complete novice, this probably is not the best route to take.

MG Challenge registration costs £30 per annum.
